COMMENTARY
Oro Gold is a gold exploration company making new discoveries in Mexico and Central America. With 11 exploration properties and low cost acquisitions ongoing, Oro Gold is on the fast-track to making significant gold discoveries, and well poised to become a major player in the junior resource sector.
Oro Gold’s true strength is its people. The company is led by a technical team with significant gold resource development experience and a passion for generative exploration. The company’s have enjoyed numerous exploration successes over the past twenty years while working together for Placer Dome in Latin America. Las Cristinas (10 + million oz Au), Cerro Crucitas (1 + million oz Au), and Cortez Hills are just a few examples of projects that they were instrumental in advancing and discovering new ounces. Management’s mandate is to replicate this type of success in Oro Gold.
Oro Gold’s initial years were spent building a strategic land package in Mexico and Panama focusing on under-explored dormant mine camps and areas of known productive geology. The current land package in Sinaloa covering over 2,600 square kilometres. The company’s flagship Trinaidad Property within the Rosario Gold Belt near Mazatlan, Mexico will continue to be its principal focus in 2010 . Ongoing exploration activities are aimed at increasing the company's gold resource base and making new discovers along the structural trend.
Oro Gold has defined an inferred gold resource (NI 43-101 compliant) of 200,930 ounces (4.5 million tonnes at 1.4 g/t gold at a 0.5 cut-off). This resource is based on RC results and does not include the recent discoveries of thr HS Zone. The best drill results reported to date by the company include a high-grade intercept in a new zone discovered at Trinidad returning 8.5 g/t gold over 61 metres. |
