As of December 2009 approximately 7,800 metres in 33 diamond drill holes have been completed at the Trinidad project. Drilling has identified five significant mineralized zones (HS, El Dorado, Bocas, Taunus South and El Tanque).
43-101 compliant Inferred resource at Taunus: 4,491,800 tonnes @ 1.39 g/t Au for a total of 200,930 ounces (2007). Resource estimate calculated using RC drilling and does not include any of the diamond drilling reported in column to left.
Drilling will continue to focus on expanding the existing gold resource in these areas as well as explore at depth to identify potential feeders and discover new zones
|
| |
Bocas Zone |
09TR030: 1.91 g/t from 8.1 to 10.1;
0.91 g/t from 23 to 25m;
0.73 g/t from 33 to 35m;
0.71 g/t from 45 to 61m.
|
Bocas Zone has been identified as a shallow zone of low grade material amenable to open pit extraction. More drilling is required to determine the size and connectivity of this shallow zone to others on the property. |
| |
South Taunus Zone |
09TR028: 0.86 g/t from 159.9 to 163m;
0.04 g/t from 171 to 183.4m.
09TR032: 1.10 g/t from 132 to 165m;
5.73 g/t from 141.5 to 145.1m;
2.98 g/t from 242 to 251m;
0.86 g/t from 159.9 to 163m.
|
Drilling will continue to focus on expanding the existing gold resource in these areas as well as explore at depth to identify potential feeders and discover new zones. |
| |
El Tanque Zone |
09TR033A: 2.2 g/t from 32 to 39.2m; 0.49 g/t from 89 to 127.7m (including 1.30 g/t over 115 to 121.7m).
|
Drilling will continue to focus on expanding the existing gold resource in these areas as well as explore at depth to identify potential feeders and discover new zones. |
| Regional Targets |
San Miguel |
San Miguel – 1,500m x 500m soil anomaly open to southeast and west. 8 holes drilled in small area, and returned 2.18 g/t Au over 3.65 m and 4.27 g/t Au over 2.5 m respectively. Numerous rock chip samples > 1g/t Au. |
Presence of gold detected in 19 drainages through panning of stream sediments with values returned as high as 8 g/t Au. Further eexploration planned for 2010. |
| |
Colinas |
Prospecting and sampling has returned anomalous gold on surface over significant area. |
Colinas is on trend with Taunus zone further work is required in this area to determine its significance. |
| |
Lupita |
400m x 200m soil anomaly (> 50 ppb Au) with individual soil results up to 690 ppb Au. Target area never previously drilled. |
Further exploration is planned for 2010. |

The Calerita target is centered on a 1 kilometre by 300 metre northeast trending gold-in-soil anomaly hosted in intrusive and volcanic rocks. The gold mineralization is interpreted to be porphyry-style related to epidote, chlorite, and quartz.

Joint venture partner defaulted on exploration expenditure and the property has been returned to Oro Gold.
Over $1,000,000 spend in exploration by joint venture partner.
Plans for future exploration are being contemplated with strategic partners.
