Darren Bahrey

Darren has over 20 years of international industry experience working for junior and major mining companies in all aspects of exploration and development, from grassroots discoveries to feasibility level studies. Darren is founder and President of Oro Gold Resources Ltd. (2005), and is responsible for creating the spin out of Oro Silver (February 2007) which added strategic value for Oro Gold and its shareholders. His expertise lies in the execution of strategic growth opportunities with a focus on negotiations, acquisitions, and property advancement. He has had substantial involvement in the completion of equity financings and the formation of a strong shareholder base. Prior to his role at Oro Gold and Oro Silver, Darren was part of a senior management team responsible for overseeing exploration and acquisition activities for Placer Dome Exploration in Mexico and Central America.
