2010 Plan: Follow-up at Trinidad and Making New Gold Discoveries
Oro Gold plans to drill a minimum of 10,000 metres with the objectives of substantially increasing our gold resources, and making new gold discoveries in other areas along the 125-kilometre-long northwest trending corridor. The Trinidad district hosts multiple gold targets that are being advanced to drill stage. The San Cristobal target will be one of the first areas to be drilled this year.
The exploration program in 2010 will include a minimum 10,000 metres of drilling to accomplish the following:
• Discovering new zones in the Taunus area;
• Expanding the known gold zones, both near surface, and at depth;
• Deeper drilling to discover the source of the high-grade gold zones at Taunus;
• Exploring additional targets outside of the Taunus area in the Trinidad district; and
• Initiating regional exploration on Oro Gold’s adjacent gold properties (over 2,000 square-kilometres)
located outside of the Trinidad district
Oro Gold’s 2010 program includes for a $3 million dollar budget in the first half of the year to get to the next decision point. Total exploration expenses in 2009 amounted to approximately $3 million, of which over $2.5 million was directed towards exploration completed on Oro Gold’s flagship Trinidad gold project.
