Oro Gold’s initial years were spent building a strategic land package in Mexico and Panama focusing on under-explored dormant mine camps and areas of known productive geology. The current land package in Sinaloa covers over 2,650 square kilometres and includes the company’s flagship Trinidad Property within the Rosario Gold Belt near Mazatlan, Mexico.  Ongoing exploration activities are aimed at increasing the company's gold resource base at Trinidad.

Oro Gold's has defined an inferred gold resource (NI 43-101 compliant) of 200,930 ounces (4.5 million tonnes at 1.4 g/t gold at a 0.5 cut-off). This resource is based on RC results and does not include the recent discoveries including most of the HS Zone.  The best drill results reported to date by the company include a high-grade intercept in a new zone discovered at Trinidad returning 8.5 g/t gold over 61 metres.
